Decision Support System for Selecting Superior Rice Seeds Using Simple Additive Weighting Method

Abstract

Choosing the right rice seeds greatly influences harvest results and farmer welfare. This research aims to develop a web-based decision support system that can help farmers in Parsanga Village in selecting superior rice seeds using the Simple Additive Weighting method. The SAW method was chosen because of its ability to carry out multi-criteria assessments which can provide recommendations based on ranking. Seed selection criteria are determined by the Department of Agriculture and implemented in the system to provide precise calculations and analysis. The results of this system are expected to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of selecting rice seeds, thereby increasing agricultural productivity in Parsanga Village.
