Abstract

ABSTRACT

The research used is descriptive qualitative, with a case study method. The data collection techniques used are observation, documentation and interviews with married couples, one of whom has physical or sensory disabilities. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: 1). Efforts to build a harmonious family in marriages with physical and sensory disabilities are to understand each other's obligations, work together in earning a living and educating children, understand each other's conditions, and increase happiness by realizing faith in Allah SWT. 2). The supporting factor is the support of the partner and family, while the inhibiting factors for the three people with disabilities are the problem of limitations, uncertain income, differences of opinion and problems with parenting patterns for children.

The resilience of families of couples with sensory disabilities in Semarang City. The life of couples with sensory disabilities. The method used is a descriptive qualitative research method that provides a description of the living conditions of couples with disabilities in maintaining their family life.

This research can be a concern for the government and society that the importance of assistance and reinforcement for disabled couples, especially sensory ones, in running their households so that they can continue to be harmonious amidst their physical limitations.
